Brain–computer interfaces

At the end of my studies in engineering in Portugal I was determined to learn about existing technologies for directly interfacing the brain with a computer. I then performed a research internship on brain–computer interfaces in the Netherlands. I felt privileged to be given intellectual freedom to define the topic of the research project and the resources to investigate the recognition of emotional states from human electroencephalographic (EEG) signals using machine learning or artificial intelligence.
